TWO men walked into a St Albans estate agents and stole a mobile phone from a woman’s desk.
Police have released CCTV stills of two men they would like to speak to in connection with the incident at Ashton’s Estate Agents, London Road, at around 1pm on June 14.
The culprits entered the shop and one approached an estate agent’s desk to distract her by asking about a lettings list while the second man took her phone from the desk.
The first man then said it didn’t matter about the list and they both left, walking away from the city centre.
Pc Shaun Woods, investigating, said: “We are really keen to speak the men in the footage or for anyone who recognises them to get in touch.
We would also ask if anyone knows anything about the incident to contact us.”
Anyone with information should call investigating officer Pc Woods via the non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222 or, alternatively, call Crimestoppers (an independent charity) anonymously on 0800 555111.
