Police were called to a pharmacy in Wheathampstead after a child threatened a member of staff.
An employee at Manor Pharmacy in High Street challenged a group of people who were believed to be shoplifting at 3.52pm on Tuesday, June 26.
One of the group behaved in an aggressive manner towards her, causing her to be in fear of violence.
Police arrested an 11-year-old boy of no fixed address on suspicion of theft and common assault. He has been dealt with through a Community Resolution.
