A man was taken to hospital after suffering chest pain following a two-car collision in St Albans last night.
Emergency services were called to the roundabout between London Road and Highfield Park Drive after a silver Audi A2 and a black Mazda MX-5 collided just before 6pm.
Duty Manager Tabatha Saunders attended the scene and said: “On our arrival, a man in his 30s was being treated for chest pain by an off-duty paramedic. He was in quite an anxious state so was taken to Watford General Hospital.
“We also assessed a second casualty, a man in his 70s who had suffered a minor chest injury but didn’t require hospital treatment.”
Police reopened the road at around 7.30pm.
