Police have confirmed that a person has died after being struck by a train at St Albans City station.
British Transport Police were called to St Albans City station at 1.47am this morning (Monday, August 6) after reports of a person being struck by a train.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: “Colleagues from the ambulance service also attended, however, a person was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“Officers are working to identify the person and inform their family.
“This incident is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
