A PEDESTRIAN left with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in St Albans last week has been discharged from hospital.
The 18 year old from St Albans was hit outside the Speckled Hen pub in Hatfield Road in the very early hours of Friday morning (May 15).
He was rushed to hospital where he remained until yesterday (Monday).
Another pedestrian sustained minor injuries in the accident involving a green Toyota Picnic people carrier, which also struck a wall and street furniture before rolling over onto its side.
The 17-year-old driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving without insurance, a full driving licence and while under the influence of alcohol, as well as taking a vehicle without consent. But he was released without charge on police bail until August.
