TELLING a policeman to get on his bike might not be the wisest comment - unless you are a member of Bricket Wood Residents Association (BWRA) that is.
For the residents association gave a new bike to PCSO Kelvin Mackenzie so he could patrol his neighbourhood, which also takes in the Park Street and St Stephen area, more quickly.
It is the first sponsored bike in the St Albans district and was presented by BWRA representatives Laurie Hart, Stephen Roback, Maurice Davidov and Gordon Wroe.
PCSO Mackenzie said: “I am very grateful to the residents association for supporting my efforts in policing the village. I hope this will make me more visible, more of the time, to more residents. I will get fitter at the same time!”
