Partner at St Albans accountancy firm calls it a day after 46 years

A partner at a St Albans chartered accountants is set to retire after 46 years with the firm.
Paul Webster will be stepping down from his role with Mercer & Hole at the end of the month, but will continue as a consultant for the firm and be available for client matters.
Paul joined Mercer & Hole in 1971 and has been a partner at the firm since 1981, making him one of the longest-serving partners in the company’s 112 year history.
Mercer & Hole senior partner Paul Maberly said: “Paul has contributed immeasurably to the progress of Mercer & Hole. His experience within the firm is unparalleled and he been a great support to myself and my fellow partners over the years. I am pleased and proud to call Paul a friend.
“Whilst he will be missed, Paul will still be a consultant at Mercer & Hole so we can still enjoy the benefits of his insight and experience.
“I wish Paul a long and happy retirement and thank him for all he has contributed to the firm so far.”
