POLICE were this week probing why one of their cars parked in a disabled bay in Harpenden town centre at 2pm on January 3. The car was pictured in Lower High Street by an angry member of the public who said that while it was there two vehicles with disabled badges had to drive around looking for a parking space. The car was parked a short distance from the town's police station in Vaughan with its own secure parking.
A police spokesman said: "We are now conducting the lines of inquiry to establish why the police vehicle was parked in the disabled bay and will be speaking to the officers involved.
