TWO pay and display machines were stolen from car parks at Westminster Lodge last night.
The thefts were spotted by people using the car parks between the sports centre and the running track early this morning. Among them was David McCormack from Sandridge who thought one of the stolen machines had been brand new and only replaced on Monday.
He said: "If they had been removed by NCP, they would have put up notices about it."
A spokesperson for the district council confirmed that the machines had been stolen and said a fuller statement would be made shortly.
