A PARAKEET flock have found a new home in a Sandridgebury garden according to a delighted resident.
At least six of the exotic birds have been spotted on birdfeeders by the woman’s daughter, who is a keen birdwatcher.
She contacted the RSPB who said that the birds were beginning to breed in different parts of the country but these were the first near St Albans.
The resident added: “Hopefully they will not have any impact on the other lovely birds that visit our garden, such as woodpeckers, nuthatch, redpoll, finches and tits.”
