A group of six young people have attempted to rob a cyclist on the Alban Way in St Albans.
Police have released images of a person they would like to speak to after the man, who in his 50s, was assaulted while cycling along the Alban Way and into Orient Way between 4.45pm and 5.05pm yesterday.
The group pushed and kicked him before travelling towards St Albans city centre. Police believe the group may have journeyed to Watford from St Albans using the Abbey Flyer train service.
Sherisse Lee from the St Albans Local Crime Unit said: “I would like to reassure residents we are doing all we can to trace those responsible.
“We believe those pictured were in the area at the time of the incident and could have information that is vital to the investigation.
“If you recognise them, or have any other information that can help the investigation, please email me at sherisse.lee@herts.pnn.police.uk or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/40582/18.”
