St Albans fire station is holding an open day on Saturday, September 1 from 12pm to 4pm at their London Road base.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service are hoping it will be a great opportunity for the general public to gain some important safety advice.
There will be several hot oil demonstrations throughout the day, and a demonstration of the cutting equipment firefighters use on several cars and there will be a session on what is involved in a road traffic collision incident.
There will also be an Arial ladder platform and teddy bear parachutes, with the addition of a barbecue alongside various stalls and attractions, such as a roundabout, a bouncy castle and an ice cream van.
There is no parking at the station, but visitors are welcome to park in the Samuel Ryder Academy car park near to the station.
