FOUR people managed to escape from a house fire in Harpenden on Saturday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to Lambourn Gardens just after midday and found the first floor of the semi-detached property engulfed in flames. The fire, which started accidentally, left one person with minor injuries.
Fire crews from St Albans, Harpenden, Wheathampstead and Redbourn fought the blaze.
