DUST off your bike and get cycling is the message from the district council which is offering free guided rides for the second year running.

In partnership with British Cycling and the Sky Ride Local programme, the rides are around the district and a chance for families to discover the local area.

They are led by British Cycling-trained ride leaders and start from this Sunday.

St Albans council leader, Cllr Julian Daly, himself a keen cyclist, said: “St Albans and the surrounding district is a great place to get out and about on a bike.

“These free guided bike rides are taking place throughout the summer holidays and will help families have fun and keep fit while exploring the district.”
