Nine men have been arrested after a suspected stabbing in St Albans in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).

Police were called at 3.20am to Benedictine Place, in London Road, St Albans, and subsequently arrested the men after an ‘altercation’.

A police spokesperson said they cannot confirm whether a stabbing took place. He said: “Nine men have been arrested in connection with this incident and are currently in police custody. It would be inappropriate for us to comment any further at this time.”

London Road is currently closed while a police investigation takes place.
