Models got their kit on for the launch of St Albans City FC’s new season strip last week.

The club’s sponsors and supporters, including St Albans Mayor Geoff Harrison, were invited to St Michael’s Manor for a special event to herald the arrival of the redesigned blue and yellow kit, which has been supplied by Mitre sportswear.

The new-look kit was modelled by club mascot Sammy the Saint and local luminaries including St Albans Chamber director Lisa Bates, Victoria Gray from Club Batchwood and dance company entrepreneur Zoe Jackson from Living The Dream.

They were joined by players James Kaloczi, Howard Hall, Ben Martin, Darren Locke, Elliott Bailey and Loick Pires.

Sammy the Saint will be making his stadium debut at Clarence Park for Saturday’s game against Watford’s first team squad, which includes internationals like Ecuador’s World Cup star Juan Carlos Paredes. Kick-off is at 3pm.
