NEWLY-refurbished premises in a village have been leased to award-winning charity Community Meeting Point (CMP).
Harpenden-based Jarvis have leased Marlborough House in Wheathampstead High Street to CMP which was set up in 1991 to enable, support and promote recovery for local people who are experiencing mental health problems.
The charity had formerly been occupying Jarvis premises at the rear of Bowers Parade in Harpenden which is shortly to be redeveloped to provide new apartments, cottages, a retail unit and office buildings, part of which will be occupied by CMP.
The redevelopment of Bowers Parade starts in the spring and should take 18 months to complete.
Jeffrey Hollis, Jarvis director of marketing, said he was very pleased that the company had been able to continue their support of CMP.
