Guidance on everything from housing to debt relief is available for locals visiting the spruced-up information and advice hub in St Albans’ Civic Centre.
St Albans Mayor, Cllr Salih Gaygusuz, recently hosted the launch of the updated hub - located in a large room on the ground floor - at a networking event.
It has been redesigned thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund and the council, with new flooring, a wall-mounted screen showing advice, self-service computers and comfortable chairs, to make it more welcoming for visitors.
Cllr Gaygusuz said: “The hub has been transformed and many thanks are due to staff from Citizens Advice and the council for their work on the project.”
• Organisations offering information include Citizens Advice, Centre for Voluntary Service St Albans, Oaklands College, the Credit Union, Community Navigator, St Albans Womens Outreach Service, Hertfordshire Asian Womens Association, North Herts Homes and Aldwyck Housing Association.
