Budding nature detectives are invited to a forest in Sandridge to solve a mystery and take part in woodland activities.
The Nature Detectives event is organised by the Woodland Trust, and will take place at Heartwood Forest on Wednesday, August 22 and Thursday, August 23. There will be activities for the under-13s including solving a whodunnit, whittling, den building and badge making.
Danielle Wesley of the Woodland Trust said: “Are you ready to solve a wild mystery? The animals have gathered for a picnic in the woods, but a huge hazelnut cake has gone missing! It’s been eaten and all that’s left is a pile of crumbs.

The event takes place from 9.45am to 3.30pm, and is £5 for adults, with children going free.
