A BETTING firm in St Albans has picked up two accolades at a national online financial awards ceremony.
Spreadex, based in Grosvenor Road, won Best Online Spread Betting Service and Best Online Sports Betting Service at the 2009 MoneyAM Online Financial Awards.
The recognition comes after the company was named runner-up for Online Betting Company of the Year at the Betview Awards in March.
Spreadex spokesman Andy MacKenzie said: "Spread betting is still relatively unknown compared to fixed odds betting but we are seeing more and more people opening accounts with us as they look to try out alternative investment opportunities during the recession."
Now in their second year, the MoneyAM awards are voted for by traders and sports bettors across the UK.
