Plans to extend the Oyster card network to Radlett by the end of 2018 have been delayed, according to an update from the Department for Transport.
Hertsmere MP Oliver Dowden attended a meeting with the rail minister, MP Jo Johnson for an update on the promised Oyster extension to Radlett.
According to the rail minister, the extension is no longer expected to be completed by the end of the year, and the Department for Transport is instead reviewing all Oyster extensions to determine how and when the network should extend.
Mr Dowden said: “In my regular meetings with Transport Ministers over the past two years, I have received repeated assurances that the extension was on track.
“I will closely scrutinise the contents of the Department’s Oyster review later this year and will lobby hard for the commitment to Radlett and Potters Bar to be honoured.”
