MEMORIES of Winston Churchill are sure to be aired when his grandson Nicholas Soames is the guest of honour at the annual dinner of the Hitchin and Harpenden Conservative Association on Friday.
MP Peter Lilley commented: "I am very much looking forward to hearing Nicholas speak. He has a fund of stories about his grandfather, Sir Winston Churchill, and the dinner guests are sure to enjoy an entertaining evening."
Mr Soames is a former minister for the armed forces and shadow defence secretary. The dinner at the Glen Eagle Hotel in Harpenden is fully booked.
