Drivers have been badly delayed by an accident involving up to four vehicles on the M1 motorway near Redbourn this afternoon.
The accident at about 4.30pm between junctions 8 (Hemel Hempstead) and 9 (Redbourn) caused tailbacks of several miles, but the northbound carriageway has now been reopened.
