Motorcyclist seriously injured in rush-hour crash

A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured in a crash during the morning rush hour in St Albans today (Wednesday). Police are now appealing for witnesses to the two-vehicle collision in at about 8.30am in Sandridge Road near to the junction with Spencer Gate. A

A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured in a crash during the morning rush hour in St Albans today (Wednesday).

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the two-vehicle collision in at about 8.30am in Sandridge Road near to the junction with Spencer Gate.

A black Yamaha motorbike and a green Nissan saloon car were involved in the crash and the motorcyclist - a man in his 20s - was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The road was closed between the Archers Fields junction and the junction with Sandpit Lane until around midday while the vehicles were cleared and investigations took place.
