Last night St Albans firefighters tackled a moped ablaze which is being treated as arson.

At 11.09pm St Albans crews received a report of a moped on fire in Cell Barnes Lane.

A hose reel was used to extinguish the blaze.

A St Albans firefighter who attended told the Herts Advertiser: “It was on fire and there was no one around.

“No one was injured and it is being treated as arson.”
