A St Albans nursery has been abuzz with activity in a rush to raise money for a four-year-old with cancer.
Jocelyn Leaver, who lives in Harpenden and attends Monkey Puzzle nursery, suffers from high-risk neuroblastoma and has had to undergo chemotherapy, regular blood transfusions and surgery.
There are clinical trials overseas for her condition, but these are not covered by the NHS so her family need to raise hundreds of thousands to pay for it.
To help, Monkey Puzzle nurseries in the city ran a week of activities, including a visit by Olaf and Elsa from Frozen, and raised £4,300.
Manager Amanda Griffiths said: “We are so proud to have been able to come together to contribute and hope others will be inspired by this beautiful and brave little girl’s story to join us in supporting her campaign. Your contribution truly could save Jossie’s life.”
