Burglars have stolen cash and eight bottles of champagne from an off licence in St Albans.
Police were made aware of a break-in at The Lovely Little Wine Shop on St Peter’s Street this morning.
The incident, which officers are still investigating, saw the thief or thieves gain entry to the shop by smashing the front door.
The shop was hoping to re-open at 4pm today (February 17).
Anyone with any information in relation to the break-in should contact Herts Police via 101.
