Young and old flocked to the Alban Arena last weekend for an annual model railway exhibition which is always a crowd-puller.
The Chiltern Model Railway Association took over all three levels of the Arena with numerous layouts, demonstrations and trade stalls.
This year there were more than 20 working layouts covering different scales, gauges and prototypes. They included a French metre gauge tramway, a multi-level scenic German layout and an Austrian alpine branchline in the 2000s.
Many of the layouts were new or relatively new to the exhibition circuit and had not been seen before.
There were also plenty of demonstrations, static exhibits and society stands giving out advice and information.
