AT the age of six, Jason Parker is already enjoying a thriving career as a children's model.
The Skyswood JMI pupil from Marshalswick is currently the face of Marks & Spencer's back-to-school campaign which sees him fronting the magazine and advertising posters.
Jason has followed in the footsteps of his older brother Toby, aged 10, who has been modelling for several years.
It was on Toby's annual reshoot that his agency spotted Jason's potential and invited him to come on to their books.
He beat off competition from more than 750 other child models to secure his first job with Marks & Spencer in January and since then work has flooded in, including shoots for Ted Baker, New Look Boys and Woolworths.
Mother Julie and father Kevan, who is a European sales manager, have been told to expect their son's face to appear on the sides of buses and at bus stops with the high-profile Marks & Spencer campaign.
Despite that, Julie said Jason was not fazed: "He is quite modest about it and he says to us 'oh stop mentioning it!' He doesn't really think much of it."
Jason, who also has another older brother, is too young to know if he wants to pursue a career as an adult model and currently has a number of other interests including tennis and art.
Julie said: "They usually say child models don't follow on to be adult models. It depends on how their face changes. There is a cut-off point in teenage years and then you resend all of the work around when you are old enough to join adult agencies."
Jason can be seen on the front cover of the Marks & Spencer Autumn/Winter 08 back-to-school catalogue and appears inside on page 14, 19 and 68. He can also be seen on the website and on in-store cards.
