THE body of a missing 27-year-old man has been found in local woodland.

Conrad Max from Watford was found dead in a wooded area between the end of School Lane in Bricket Wood and Garston on Saturday morning but police are not treating the death as suspicious.

Police were in the third day of an extensive search for Mr Max in and around Bricket Wood Common after his mobile phone was traced to the vicinity.

He was first reported missing from his home address in St Albans Road last Tuesday evening and the police described him as a "vulnerable" person when they appealed for help in tracing him.

An inquest into Mr Max's death was opened and adjourned on Monday.
