Snakes, frogs and creepy-crawlies will be on display in St Albans city centre as part of a ‘Natural World’ event.
Christopher Place will be hosting a Mini Beast Roadshow on Saturday, June 3 from 11am to 4pm. A team of animal experts will be on hand to answer questions about the creatures, and visitors will have a chance to hold snakes, giant snails, cockroaches and giant frogs.
The roadshow is free for visitors.
Centre manager Catherine Morris said: “The roadshow is making its return following on from a very successful visit last year and is part of a series of free events we have planned over the coming months at the centre.”
The centre is also hosting the Meraki Festival, folk dancers and a dog day as part of its programme of weekend entertainment. On days when there is no live entertainment the central lawn area will provide activities for children including a mud kitchen and tool bench built by local company Cottonmill Carpentry.
