A YEAR after McFly’s Harry Judd won the Strictly Come Dancing Glitterball, he and fianc�e Izzy Johnston married in Harpenden on Friday.
The couple, who have been an item for six years, tied the knot at St Nicholas Church in the town after Harry proposed to Izzy on a beach in St Lucia in the spring.
Izzy is a member of the renowned Johnston musical family in Harpenden and is a talented violinist in her own right. She is a member of the all-girl classical group Escala and was providing backing at a McFly concert when she first met Harry.
Her brother Guy is a cellist, Magnus a violinist and Rupert is a horn player, who was left severely brain damaged after a car accident in 1997. Her family continues to raise money for Rupert’s charity BIRT.
Strict security surrounded the nuptials, photographs of which will be appearing in a celebrity magazine, but Izzy’s mum Gill said it was a lovely wedding with lots of people there and a huge number of onlookers.
