THE MAN arrested in connection with a stabbing in St Albans in May has died.
Frank Varey, 32, died earlier this month at an address in Luton while on bail for offences.
He was arrested on May 25 and charged with GBH after a man received stab wounds to his chest and hands at The Quadrant shopping precinct in Marshalswick.
Louise Varey, 29, was also arrested and charged with GBH in connection with the attack.
The victim, in his 30s, was allegedly stabbed while he sat in his car on May 11.
The Vareys were believed to have worked at the Cash 4 Gold store in The Quadrant.
Details of how Mr Varey died are not known but police say it wasn’t suspicious.
Mr Varey’s funeral took place on July 16 in Carlisle, Lancashire. Mr Varey’s silver coffin was carried on an intricately decorated gold gilt trailer, pulled by a grey horse. He was buried with other members of his family in the cemetery.
