The man who died after being hit by a train outside St Albans City station has been identified

A man who died after being hit by a train in St Albans has been identified.

68 year old Melvyn Heggs, of Westfields, St Albans, died on August 13 when he was hit by a train just outside St Albans City station.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

An inquest has since been opened and adjourned.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.
