Flamstead murder investigation: Appeal to trace wanted man

Police are looking for a 64-year-old man as part of a murder investigation after a woman’s body was discovered in Flamstead.
A 71-year-old woman was found dead at an address in Flamstead High Street just before 8pm on Saturday, July 27.
Police have named a man they want to speak to in connection with her death as Brian Coote, aged 64, from High Street, Flamstead.
He is believed to be with his beige Toyota Rav 4 which has the registration number GR53 OCJ.
If you believe you have seen Mr Coote, or he has made contact with you, do not approach him but instead contact police immediately on 01707 355666, quoting Operation Tornado.
Police would also like to hear from anyone who has seen his vehicle.
Officers were called to the scene on Saturday at 7.45pm, and forced entry into the property, where they found the victim with multiple injuries and pronounced her dead at the scene.

A post mortem is due to take place later today.
