A MAN thought to be in possession of a knife was tasered by police in Colney Heath earlier today.
Police were called to the High Street following reports that a man was armed with a knife at around 1.30pm and for his own safety and that of the attending officers, the man was subdued by a taser.
One witness said he saw five officers attend the incident and the police had told him that the incident was the result of a domestic, although this has not been confirmed. The High Street reopened around 3pm.
The man was taken to the QEII Hospital in Welwyn. It is not yet known if he has been arrested.
