A 19-year-old man was stabbed inside a city nightclub in the early hours of this morning (Friday, May 22).
The incident took place at around 4am when a brawl broke out between a large group of people inside Club Batchwood in Batchwood Drive, St Albans.
A 19-year-old man received a single stab wound to his chest and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Detective Sergeant Katy Jackson, who is investigating, said: “If you were at the club and saw or heard anything suspicious, either before, during or after the incident, I would like to hear from you as you may have vital information.”

A 19-year-old from London, has since been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail until June 6.
