A WOMAN was inappropriately touched by a man while she was in the Oxfam shop in St Albans city centre yesterday (Monday).

It happened at around 11.30am when the 27-year-old victim from St Albans was in the Chequer Street shop.

Police are looking for an Asian man around 5ft 5in tall, aged between 35 and 45 years and of slim build. He is described as having short brown hair, was clean-shaven and was wearing a dark brown jacket and black trousers.

Pc Matthew Langley from the Local Crime Unit at St Albans said the incident had caused the victim a lot of distress. He appealed for anyone who was in the shop at the time, saw the incident take place or knew anything about it to contact him on 0845 33 00 222 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
