A MAN has been rushed to hospital with hypothermia after falling into a river.
He was found half submerged in the river behind Sopwell allotments in Cottonmill Lane, St Albans, at around 2pm.
Police pulled the man, believed to be in his 50s, from the river and two ambulances from St Albans attended the scene.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “The man was found half in the river holding on to the riverbank. Paramedics rapidly treated him at the scene before he was taken to Watford General Hospital suffering the effects of hypothermia.”
