A MAN suffered bruising and a broken rib after being assaulted in the beer garden of a St Albans city centre pub.
The attack took place between 9.40pm and 10pm last Friday (24) at the Waterend Barn pub in St Peter's Street. The 27-year-old victim was attacked by a number of people who then made off in an unknown direction.
Det Con Andy Boyer from the St Albans Local Crime Unit said the beer garden would have been busy at that time and urged anyone who saw the incident to get in touch on 0845 33 00 222 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
