A MAN has been left seriously injured after being struck by a car in what police believe was a hit and run incident last night (Monday).
The pedestrian, a 26-year-old man from St Albans, suffered serious injuries in the accident with a black Ford Focus at around 8.15pm in Mountbatten Close.
He is now in a London hospital where his condition was described as serious. Police believe the driver of the Ford Focus left the scene after the accident.
Ambulance crews from Garston and St Albans were called to Mountbatten Close where they treated and stabilised the pedestrian at the roadside before he was taken to an awaiting trauma team at Watford General Hospital.
