A 21 year old from St Albans has been charged with robbery and possession of an imitation firearm in connection with burglary in Reading last week.
Mazidur Muhit from North Cottages, St Albans, is alleged to have walked into a Carphone Warehouse with another person on February 2; one carrying a weapon wrapped in a cloth and the other carrying a hammer.
There were two members of staff in the store at the time. The alleged robbers threatened to shoot the staff and demanded to be let into the back of the store.
They stole multiple mobile phones, a laptop, and the phones belonging to the staff.
Muhit was arrested on February 4, charged on February 5, and remanded to appear at Reading Crown Court on March 7.
