A man was freed from a car this afternoon after it plunged down a verge at a supermarket in St Albans.
Police were called to the incident at around 12.55pm at Waitrose in Ermine Close to reports a car had fallen down a verge and crashed into a wall.
While a woman was able to get out of the vehicle, a man was believed to be trapped and fire and ambulance crews also attended the scene.
He was released and sustained no serious injuries.
The woman was treated for minor injuries by paramedics and taken to Watford General Hospital for further care.
