A MAN has been found dead in a St Albans property this afternoon.

Police made the discovery in Hatfield Road at 2pm following reports of concerns for the welfare of a man in his 20s.

No suspicious circumstances are thought to be involved in the death but there is a high number of emergency service staff in attendance due to chemicals being found in the premises.

A police spokesperson stressed that there was no risk to members of the public in the immediate vicinity.

It is expected that Hatfield Road will be closed in both ways at the junctions with Ashley Road and at the small roundabout just before Morrisons Supermarket.
