A man had to be cut out of his van after a traffic collision in Colney Heath this morning.

The man, believed to be in his mid 30s, suffered neck injuries after he collided with a lamppost near Colney Fields Shopping centre.

Fire, police and ambulance were called to the scene around 9am and the man was taken to Watford General Hospital as a precaution. His injuries are not deemed serious.

The incident happened near the Sainsbury’s petrol station at Colney Fields Shopping Park and the road remains clear.
