A man will appear at the magistrates’ court next month after being charged with allegedly stealing items of clothing from washing lines in St Albans.
Roy Jones, 55, of Ellenbrook Crescent in Hatfield, was charged with 10 theft offences on July 14, and has been released on police bail.
A spokeswoman for the Herts Police said that Mr Jones was arrested on June 12 by police officers from the St Albans intervention team, following the theft of clothing from washing lines in the Marshalswick area in February and April.
He will appear before the magistrates’ court on August 21.
