Man charged in connection with St Albans shooting

A MAN has been charged in connection with a shooting in St Albans on Tuesday (June 5).

Officers were called to Praetorian Court just before 10.30am, following reports a man had suffered shot wounds. The 24-year-old victim remains in hospital today (Thursday).

Andre Steven Ryan, aged 21, from Belmont Hill in St Albans was due before Hatfield Remand Court this morning, charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

A 22-year-old man, who was also arrested in connection with the inquiry, has been released on police bail whilst further inquiries are made.
