British Transport Police detectives have charged a 36-year-old man in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a Thameslink commuter.
The alleged assault occurred while the woman was travelling between St Pancras and Luton, on June 17 this year.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said that an Enfield based police officer was suspended after the charge was laid.
• Carl Blood, of Luton, who has been charged under Section 2 of the Sexual Offences Act, was bailed to attend Luton Magistrates’ Court this Friday, September 30.
