Police were called after a man attempted to burgle a house in St Albans.
Herts police were called shortly after 8.50pm on Thursday, January 18 to reports that a man had entered an address in Bernard Street.
He was challenged by the occupant and left. A search of the house had been carried out but nothing was stolen.
Police searched the area with assistance from the Dog Unit and the police helicopter, but the man has not yet been traced.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference F1/18/277.
