Man arrested outside St Albans Post Office

POLICE have arrested a man outside St Albans main Post Office after a woman became concerned for her safety.

A spokesman for the police said that several vehicles attended a 999 call in the city centre following an alleged incident at the Post Office on St Peter’s Street at about 2.30pm today (Wednesday).

The woman alleged a man had made threats against her.

A man was arrested on suspicion of a Section 4 public order offence. Police are still investigating the incident.
